RETRO Holiday.

Image
--> When I received a Special Order appointing me as a member of the Christmas Committee for this year, I was kinda excited….yehey! we will be organizing a parteeh! And I just supe r love organizing an event… Yes… I am a certified frustrated event organizer. But, once in a while, I am using my artistic skills (naks!) when friends asked me to design an invitation or a guest book for whatever occasion and of course, it is all for free. Sometimes naman, one of our big bosses asked me to make a presentation for her friend’s birthday and mind you… it is not for free…extra income huh? Anyways, organizing the party is not easy…it is one hell of an effort. Brainstorming, full of brainstorming and of course with twelve minds of ideas…it is really magulo. And with the few meetings, plus snacks and coffee, we have finally come up with a theme…RETRO. And of course, I was tasked to come up with the design, the party title, the invitation, in short lahat ng kaartehan. I ...

We have a new project for NAPOLCOM. It is the construction of their Regional office in…guess anyone? In Tuguegarao, Cagayan . And yes we went there last August 13 for the eligibility opening. We left Manila at 10:00 in the morning, arrived at 12:00 midnight, the meeting was scheduled at 9:30 in the morning the following day, we left Tuguegarao at 1:00 in the afternoon and arrived in Manila at 2:00 in the morning! Whew! But anyways, here are some pics…the beautiful Tuguegarao!

ILOCOS trip.

I participated in our office’s three-day stress management seminar in Ilocos last May 21-24, 2009. At first I was kinda hesitant for a few reasons. One, the seminar if from Friday to Sunday and since it will be in Ilocos with 12 hours travel time, we have to leave Manila on Thursday morning. I will not be seeing my kids for four days. Worst, I will be spending my weekend away from them. Second, my Saturday is usually spent by cleaning the house and doing the grocery and since I will be out of town nga, I have to squeeze them into the following week. Third, it is my father’s seventh death anniversary on the 22nd and I will be missing it too. Fourth, I know how beautiful Ilocos is and I want to visit it sana with my family. Four reasons but I also wanted to participate in the seminar and I know that I also deserve a break from all the things around me, I need to unwind and relax. And this will be a perfect time. We left Manila at 10am of Thursday. Learning that it will be a 12-hou...

My BOYS on the FIRST.

Image
My two boys are very much different. Kuya Luigi has this angelic and smiling face while Jule bears a very strong and mischievous face. Kuya Luigi is the typical elder brother who protects his siblings. I can proudly say that at his early age, he knows how to accept responsibilities. He knows that it is his responsibility to look after Jule and Gayle while mommy is doing something, to tell Jule to stop teasing Gayle and Gayle to stop spanking and hitting Jule. And if Jule and Gayle don’t listen to him, he’ll tell me, “Mommy, ayaw naman nila making sa ken e, siguro ayaw na nilang may kuya sila” . I can ask him to fix this and that, to hand me this and that, to help me with this and that. Jule on the other hand is the typical middle child. He can be very stubborn for a minute and can be very sweet the next minute. I cannot say that he does not want responsibilities. It is more on doing things and accepting responsibilities on his terms. He will fix his toys and things if he wants to...

How to Stay Young

Image
We all need to read this one over and over until it becomes part of who we are! 1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times! 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;) 3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's! 4. Enjoy the simple things. 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER. 6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive. 7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, = music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home ...

Look at HER now.

Image
It has been one year, eight months and thirteen days. SHE has been the ANGEL of our family. Kuya loves and protects her. Every day, he gives her a good morning kiss. He has been a very good kuya to her from day one. I can ask him to look after her while I am taking a bath. I just tell him, just say “mommy” when she cries. These two always hug and kiss each other. Jule loves picking on her. I do not know why but Jule loves to get anything she has whether it is a toy, a brush, a paper, a glass or even a chocolate wrapper. It is something between the middle and the youngest I think, o well, I dunno. They pull each other’s clothes, they kick each other, and they are fighting over everything and anything. But when it comes to picture taking, they always hug and kiss as if they are really close, haha! Daddy calls her PRETTY. She is such a daddy’s girl. He always tells her how much he loves her. She sees him as someone who has the authority and the power to tell you the do’s and don’ts. She ...
