How to Stay Young

We all need to read this one over and over until it becomes part of who we are! 1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times! 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;) 3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's! 4. Enjoy the simple things. 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER. 6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive. 7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, = music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home ...

Look at HER now.

It has been one year, eight months and thirteen days. SHE has been the ANGEL of our family. Kuya loves and protects her. Every day, he gives her a good morning kiss. He has been a very good kuya to her from day one. I can ask him to look after her while I am taking a bath. I just tell him, just say “mommy” when she cries. These two always hug and kiss each other. Jule loves picking on her. I do not know why but Jule loves to get anything she has whether it is a toy, a brush, a paper, a glass or even a chocolate wrapper. It is something between the middle and the youngest I think, o well, I dunno. They pull each other’s clothes, they kick each other, and they are fighting over everything and anything. But when it comes to picture taking, they always hug and kiss as if they are really close, haha! Daddy calls her PRETTY. She is such a daddy’s girl. He always tells her how much he loves her. She sees him as someone who has the authority and the power to tell you the do’s and don’ts. She ...

First Honor and Best Leader.

My son has been practicing for their graduation for weeks now. He plays a part in the dance number from selected Nursery and Kinder students. I am glad he is not that shy to join in such activity. But every time, I ask how their practice was, I also ask him if he is one of the Honor students. And he will just answer, I do not know. Until last Friday when the invitation and program were distributed together with the toga and ribbons, I saw my son’s name and written under it was “First Honor and Best Leader”. Okay, I admit it, I am kinda expecting it. haha! (arrogant mom!) O well, my son remained as Top One for the four grading periods with consistent “B” in conduct, (I wonder why?). And I’ve been telling my hubby that if my son did not get the First Honor, definitely, there was a scam going on. haha! Seriously, I am super duper proud of my son. Just seeing him wearing the toga and marching in the aisle, was a real achievement for us. What more hearing the host saying “First Honor and B...

HE's now 5.
