ILOCOS trip.

I participated in our office’s three-day stress management seminar in Ilocos last May 21-24, 2009. At first I was kinda hesitant for a few reasons. One, the seminar if from Friday to Sunday and since it will be in Ilocos with 12 hours travel time, we have to leave Manila on Thursday morning. I will not be seeing my kids for four days. Worst, I will be spending my weekend away from them. Second, my Saturday is usually spent by cleaning the house and doing the grocery and since I will be out of town nga, I have to squeeze them into the following week. Third, it is my father’s seventh death anniversary on the 22nd and I will be missing it too. Fourth, I know how beautiful Ilocos is and I want to visit it sana with my family. Four reasons but I also wanted to participate in the seminar and I know that I also deserve a break from all the things around me, I need to unwind and relax. And this will be a perfect time. VIVA Mapua!

These are my Mapua pals. The glamoursse. Bunch of pretty faces who found themselves hanging around with each other during vacant periods. Our tambayan inside the campus, we have this long table under a tree. That table is covered by a yellow plastic table cover, a personal choice of Michelle. I wonder, where could she be? O well… Then we were asked to vacate the tambayan. I cannot remember why, o maybe because,we were so loud, we were kikay girls and pa-girls, no dull moment, walang humpay ang tawanan . Marlon the fatso kse is full of kwentos , now he is based in Dubai. He calls me Princess Sarah, taga hawi ng tao pag dumadaan ako.haha! I am happy for you friend, you have found life and love in Dubai. Then we transferred to the garage of the CE Dean and that became our permanent tambayan, with or without the Dean’s car. haha! My mother who died four months ago visited me in my dreams one night. I felt that it was a very sad dream which made me woke up from my sleep sobbing.  I really can't remember the exact scenes and I can't understand what could be the reason or meaning of it but what is very clear to me is that nanay wants me to know that she and tatay feel for me, that they are there for me. That morning, after dropping my son to his school for his graduation pictorial, I went to the columbarium where nanay and tatay's urn are kept. I sat down, stared at their tombstone and my tears started to fall. I told them I needed their hugs- to comfort me. Suddenly, everything came back, when tatay hugs me tightly at any time of day, for no reason at all, more so, when I am crying.  Only tatay's tight hugs makes me stop from crying. I may be considered as their strongest youngest daughter, because never did I show them when something bothers me, when I have problems or when I'm badly hurt. Bu...
