VIVA Mapua!

These are my Mapua pals. The glamoursse.

Bunch of pretty faces who found themselves hanging around with each other during vacant periods. Our tambayan inside the campus, we have this long table under a tree. That table is covered by a yellow plastic table cover, a personal choice of Michelle.
I wonder, where could she be?

Then we were asked to vacate the tambayan. I cannot remember why, o maybe because,we were so loud, we were kikay girls and pa-girls, no dull moment, walang humpay ang tawanan. Marlon the fatso kse is full of kwentos, now he is based in Dubai. He calls me Princess Sarah, taga hawi ng tao pag dumadaan ako.haha!
I am happy for you friend, you have found life and love in Dubai.

Then we transferred to the garage of the CE Dean and that became our permanent tambayan, with or without the Dean’s car. haha!

After classes, you can see all of us in the Intramuros Wall. And what the hell are we doing there? la lang.

Yosi, laughter, yosi, laughter, pag-tripan lahat ng nag-dadaan, yosi ulit, laughter, singing the walang kamatayang "Wasted Time" and all the songs we know with Armie playing her guitar, we even have this trip to record our conversation.

Friday session sa RK. Two to five bottles of beer and the lala fish crakers, okay na sa men. Sometimes, sisig, and then somebody will ask for a rice. haha!
When everybody is drunk na, pag-titripan na naman lahat ng nag-dadaan.

We are all fashionistas. Levis denim jeans, Giordano shirts, Benetton pouch bag, silver accesories “O, tomorrow lahat naka-Giordano Classic ha?”
"The next day, Giordano Frog naman” la lang, trip lang.

Billiards sa, o shit I forgot the name, oopps! O well, I had this two caesarian section remember? basta, it was the place between Lyceum and Letran, diba?

Chastine wearing Sheila’s blonde wig habang bumibili ng yosi sa stairs sa may West. She looks like “Annie” who sings “Tomorrow”.

Who can forget Grace with the rampage walk, who has a boyfriend na laging nagpapalibre sa kanya, everytime we see her together with that guy, we sing “alagang-alaga naming si puti” and she sings with us. haha!

Gerald na laging may kaayaw sa men. Graciano with the water-resistant hair. Uly na naiiwan ang shoes pagbaba sa jeep kse namamanhid ung legs nya. Roy with the famous pick-up line na “pare pwede bang makipagkilala”.

Annette na laging loud, Cavite?a kse, Our very own Mariah Carey na si Ina, she was kinda masungit and laging taga-saway kay Chastine. Cindy who always brings her youngest sister in school. Chie always with the Nivea cream scent.

Jowee had her first boyfriend, Bernard na gusto lagi syang sosy tingnan. She cried to her mama when he left her for another girl, o well, inaway naming yung girl, of course!

Siena, my secretary haha! because she calls me Manager, ang babaeng humaling na humaling kay Carlo.

And of course, Sheila my best friend, ang babaeng natutulog with her eyes half opened.
We share clothes, bags, lipstick, almost everything but not boyfriend huh?
We were always together, sleep over her place during gimmick nights, we had shower together with Chastine and Cindy sa dugout ng Mapua, after the PE class.
Naging sila ni Shawie.

Shawie is the tall guy na parang Pong pagong sa bagal kumilos. Pinag-tataguan kme nito pag-uwian na kse ayaw nya kme isakay sa car nya, ayaw nya ko ihatid, sama no?
Kahit sila ni Sheila, crush pa din ako nito, he told me, he was falling for me kse daw ang sweet ko, and until now, mahal pa nya ko. haha!

I remember how me and Sheila were scolded by our Instructor kse kme lang maingay sa klase. We asked permission to go to the ladies room then our Instructor saw us down stairs smoking. haha! We were even accused of sending him this letter full of bad words. AS IF!

We had memories full of laughter, those were the times when life is so easy to deal with. I missed those times and I missed my friends.

The last time I saw them was when I was pregnant with my first baby. It was I think if I remember it right, July, three years ago? We had dinner at Angelino’s.

Others have left the country, others have moved to another place, and all of us have our own priorities, family, career, significant others.

‘ahhh, so sad, but hey, those memories will always stay.

I just have this one wish.
