RETRO Holiday.
-->
When I received a Special Order appointing me as a member of the Christmas Committee for this year, I was kinda excited….yehey! we will be organizing a parteeh! And I just super love organizing an event…
Yes…
I am a certified frustrated event organizer. But, once in a while, I am using my artistic skills (naks!) when friends asked me to design an invitation or a guest book for whatever occasion and of course, it is all for free. Sometimes naman, one of our big bosses asked me to make a presentation for her friend’s birthday and mind you… it is not for free…extra income huh?
Anyways, organizing the party is not easy…it is one hell of an effort.
Brainstorming, full of brainstorming and of course with twelve minds of ideas…it is really magulo.
And with the few meetings, plus snacks and coffee, we have finally come up with a theme…RETRO.
And of course, I was tasked to come up with the design, the party title, the invitation, in short lahat ng kaartehan. I was thinking for a second word for the theme because for me, RETRO is so plain. RETROSPECT is so ordinary naman. And since it is a Christmas party, and Christmas is a Holiday…
Tiring, very tiring in the preparation with a few kapalpakan which no one ever noticed except for us committee…haha!

At first we thought, only few will cooperate with the theme. We even told ourselves “kaka-career-in namin ang costume” just to find out that everybody made an effort to fit in with the theme. We were all surprised with their outfits that we considered ourselves “so simple”…

I can proudly say that the RETRO Holiday party was an accomplishment for the committee and for everyone because we saw naman that the guests and all the employees really had a good time.
And for the next Christmas Committee…beat that…haha!
